This weekend I had the pleasure of hanging out at Jeff’s home down in North Carolina and Bea came over for the weekend to work on the course materials for our Blogging for Bankers online session that we’re kicking off on Wednesday, September 16th. Since time flies and that date will be here sooner than we all think, we all thought it was a good idea to get together face-to-face and work on the content and get some real work done. As great as the Internet is, there’s really no substitute for face time, and although I had “met” Bea several times through www.FreeWebinarWednesdays.com, it was good to finally meet her in person.
In future posts we’ll have more information about the upcoming modules and what sessions will be, how to register and what the cost will be, but for now I wanted so share a video that we took from command central – also known as Jeff’s kitchen table (ha ha) – as we worked on getting our hands around everything that we want to cover. I’ve really enjoyed working with Jeff and Bea talking about how we will be helping the community banking sector better understand how to blog and how to promote themselves using “web 2.0″ and social networking techniques.
Keep in mind, this was a “casual” session, so we may not look like the “typical” banking experts. But then again, we’re supposed to be experts in blogging, which as you know is Internet-related so the fact that we’re in shorts and t-shirts should be ok (grin). Besides, it’s kind of nice to leave the ties in the closet for once!
So, what did you think? Stop back again and we’ll be releasing more information on the course and will enable online registration so you can reserve your spot. We’re also going to offer a special discount for bankers that are interested in signing up for all three modules, so stay tuned… For now, hope you enjoyed the video and we’ll see you back here again real soon!
